ARGOS

This is important because industries typically have enormous investments in data capture and training for their current systems. Because ARGOS effectively resides inside the existing system—providing a “brain transplant” as it were—users notice no changes when production switches to ARGOS (other than the fact that scheduling becomes much faster and less labor intensive, and the resulting schedules become much better).
  • No special hardware required: ARGOS runs on a standard PC. A simple graphical user interface (GUI) controls its operation and monitors progress.
  • Access to state of the art technology: The technologies that underlie ARGOS are being protected by OTS using a variety of mechanisms, including patents and trade secrets. The system’s ability to achieve the magnitude of savings it does depends crucially on those protected technologies, which are unavailable to our competitors.
  • Additional features:  ARGOS can reschedule selectively in response to situation changes, aiming either for minimal disruption in existing schedules or for minimal bottom-line impact.  

Availability

ARGOS is currently ready for full deployment in some environments and can be readied for any particular customer in short order. Customizing the system to the needs of a new customer can typically be done as fast as we can work out those needs with the customer.
