Why aren't the availabilities
shown in the cumulative resource usage plot?
When viewing the resource usage plots for a single resource there is a
black line indicating the availability of the resource over time.

If "Cumulative" is selected in the resource selection box, usage and
over-allocation are shown for all resources combined, but the black
line indicating availability is not shown. This is because it is not
clear what an availabilities line would mean on a cumulative plot. For
example, suppose that on a given day we have 2 welders and 4
painters available, for a total availability of 6. If the work on that day requires 3 welders and 1 painter, the total
usage is 4. If the availability was shown in the graph, it would look like there was no over-allocation, even though welders
are over-allocated (3 are required and only 2 are available). PSOP
will correctly show the over-allocation in red; showing the availabilities
would therefore be confusing because you could see over-allocation below the availability line.
