Leveling the Project
Clicking the Level button at the bottom of the PSOP main window starts the PSOP optimizer.

Some warning dialogs may appear to remind you to close Primavera and
make sure no other users are accessing the project. It is
strongly recommended that you close Primavera and make sure that no
other users have a copy of the project open (more information...).
The leveling progress dialog will then appear while PSOP retrieves the necessary data from P3e:

Once the necessary data has been retrieved from P3e, PSOP will start to
optimize the schedule and the results window will appear:

In the image above we can see that PSOP has removed all of the overload
from the McDonnell Douglas Wing Project and has made the project
shorter. Leveling is still in progress however and an even better
schedule may be found. Every time PSOP finds a better schedule the
results are updated. At any point, you can click the Good Enough button and PSOP will stop with its current best schedule. If you never click Good Enough, PSOP will eventually stop with the best schedule it could find.
Note that, like P3e, PSOP does not consider Level of Effort
activities during leveling. Level of Effort activities will be
correctly scheduled, but they are not considered during the
optimization process.
